Our Team, and a straight forward vision .We believe a great product comes from the love and care poured into even the smallest details.
We've had an amazing journey coming to where we are today and are confident that we provide a professional service, great food, and of course, outstanding coffee, in a warm and beautiful setting.
I "Michael" started up as apprentice back in Germany. From there I worked in 5+ Hotels around world. Switzerland, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Caribbean and cruise liners like QM II are just a couple to name of.
Around 17 years ago, I decided to pack up and move to New Zealand for good. Here, I gained valuable experience at The Hilton and Langham Hotel, Mollies, and other well-regarded places in Auckland.
I leaded the kitchen at "Collective Hospitality", New Zealand's fastest growing catering company, and named in Deloitte's "Fast50" fastest growing companies.
After I refurbished the old Villa in Wakefield, we open and quickly gained recognition, with following achievements: - Finalist 2017 Outstanding Suburban Venue of the Year Nelson/Tasman- Regional Winner Café of the Year 2018 (upper South Island) -Tripadvisor Excellent Award 2018 -Tripadvisor Travels Choice 2020 We never stop growing, and we never stop listening to our customers.
